Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling

Civil Engineering Consulting Services, Inc. (CECS) has a high level of expertise in controlling storm water runoff. We have performed design and analyses on highway drainage structures for multiple agencies. Structures that have been designed and analyzed have included closed storm sewer systems, cross line pipes, box culverts, open channels, energy dissipaters, bridges, and detention ponds. We have performed hydraulic studies involving regulatory floodways, which must meet all Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) requirements. Our team has obtained “no-rise” certifications as well as prepared Conditional Letter of Map Revisions (CLOMR) and Letter of Map Revisions (LOMR). CECS uses approved computer software to determine the hydraulics of the structure and then uses the appropriate methodology to compute scour and design any necessary countermeasures.
