Bridge and Structural Design

Civil Engineering Consulting Services, Inc. (CECS) has many years of experience in the design of highway structures incorporating new bridges, bridge rehabilitations, and bridge widenings. CECS has prepared conceptual, preliminary, and final bridge construction plans for new location highway and bridge replacement projects. Bridge types have included pre-cast pre-stressed concrete girders, continuous steel girders, segmental pre-stressed concrete box girders, concrete arches, and steel arches. Substructure design experience consists of both shallow and deep foundations. CECS has also designed other roadway structures such as reinforced concrete box culverts, special junction boxes, headwalls, overhead sign supports, and retaining walls. These structural design projects have led to extensive experience with preliminary and final cost estimates, as well as special provisions for construction.
